New Brunswick Issues Over 1,000 Invitations Across Skilled Worker and Express Entry Draws in May and June 2025

New Brunswick has released the results of multiple immigration draws under its Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP), issuing a combined total of 1,040 invitations across the Skilled Worker and Express Entry streams. These draws, held between May 5 and June 17, 2025, focused on sectors facing labour shortages and included healthcare, education, construction, and more.

The province continues to use its immigration streams to target candidates with strong ties to New Brunswick, including graduates, workers with Canadian experience, and individuals employed in priority sectors.

Skilled Worker Stream: June 17 Draw Targets Healthcare

On June 17, 2025, New Brunswick issued 12 invitations through the Skilled Worker stream under the Priority Occupations pathway. The draw was limited to healthcare occupations, continuing the province’s ongoing efforts to address staffing gaps in hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities.

Skilled Worker Stream: June 16–17 Draw Focuses on Graduates

A draw held over June 16 and 17, 2025, under the New Brunswick Graduates pathway saw 274 invitations issued. The draw included all sectors, with the exception of Chefs (NOC 62022) and Material Handlers (NOC 75101). Notably, this round was restricted to candidates with work permits expiring in 2025, January 2026, or February 2026, aiming to retain skilled talent already working in the province.

Express Entry Stream: June 16 Draw Prioritises Long-Term Workers

On June 16, 2025, New Brunswick’s Express Entry stream issued 297 invitations through the Employment in New Brunswick pathway. This draw included candidates working full time for a New Brunswick employer for at least 12 consecutive months, a clear signal that the province is prioritising long-term contributors to the local economy. All sectors were considered except Chefs (NOC 62022).

Skilled Worker Stream: June 16 Draw Highlights Healthcare, Education, and Trades

Also on June 16, a separate draw under the New Brunswick Experience pathway issued 25 invitations. Selected occupational categories included:

  • Healthcare
  • Education and Social & Community Services
  • Construction Trades (excluding Material Handlers – NOC 75101)

The draw was limited to individuals with work permits expiring in 2025, January 2026, or February 2026, focusing again on candidates nearing permit expiry and likely seeking pathways to permanent residence.

Skilled Worker Stream: May 5 Draw Issued 432 Invitations

Earlier in the cycle, on May 5, 2025, New Brunswick held one of its largest recent draws, issuing 432 invitations through the New Brunswick Experience and New Brunswick Graduates pathways. This draw targeted candidates in:

  • Healthcare
  • Education and Social & Community Services
  • Construction Trades (excluding Material Handlers – NOC 75101)

This draw reflects the province’s sustained focus on high-need sectors and its interest in retaining workers who already have experience or educational credentials from within New Brunswick.
